Hanna Seewald
Hanna Seewald (1899-1992) absolvierte 1920/21 die Photoschule von Dr. Erwin Quedenfeld in Düsseldorf und war von 1922 bis 1924 Schülerin an der „Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt für Photographie“ in München, wo sie ab 1926 auch lehrte. Ab 1948 übernahm sie die kommissarische Leitung und war von 1953 bis1965 Direktorin der in „Bayerische Staatslehranstalt für Photographie“ umbenannten Institution. Sie war Mitglied der Gesellschaft Deutscher Lichtbilder und der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Photographie und wurde für ihr Engagement im Bereich der fotografischen Ausbildung mit dem Bundesverdienstkreuz erster Klasse ausgezeichnet. Ihre Fotografien waren Teil zahlreicher Ausstellungen. Zuletzt waren sie 2020 in einer Ausstellung über die Kunstfotografie der 1890er bis 1920er Jahre im Kunsthaus Kaufbeuren zu sehen.
