We are celebrating our anniversary

50|200 Years Applying Science – HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences is celebrating its birthday under this motto. And not just one birthday, but two.

50 years, because HM was founded in 1971 from seven Munich-based engineering schools and higher technical schools as Fachhochschule München – now known as HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences. 200 years, because the Baugewerkschule – with the Feiertagsschule as its predecessor – as the forerunner institution of the Departments of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geoinformatics started its regular lecture schedule 200 years ago.

In the coming semester, you will find facts and stories about the past and present of Hochschule München on the anniversary websites. Which people shaped the university and its 14 departments today, how HM became what it is today from a multitude of institutions. And in which places the knowledge and energy of its teachers, researchers and graduates shaped the city of Munich.

Celebrate with us – with activities and events!
